Justo & Bueno is one of the most important Colombian Supermarket whose concept is based on the idea of the hard discount store.

After collecting the best learning from the hard discount model in the world, a team of entrepreneurs saw a great opportunity in Latin America and especially in Colombia, being the pioneers in implementing the model in the country and opening the first Justo & Bueno store in the city of Bogotá.

TOSTAO ’Café & Pan is a chain of franchises specialized in bakery, pastry and cafes. It has worldwide recognition as the main producer of soft coffees. Their product is unique and 100% Colombian.

It has more than 140 franchises in Bogotá, Medellín and surroundings. The target customer is oriented to the middle end consumer.

Retos
Offer and develop a robust and scalable connectivity solution to meet the needs of the administrative and operational part of the Justo & Bueno and TOSTAO stores, giving connectivity to their offices and food storage warehouses nationwide and stores in different cities. A project developed by our partner DATAWARE from the city of Medellin. The main objective is to provide centralized access, improving the transfer speed from 1G to 10G, giving more bandwidth to serve more users who visit stores and provide a more robust network for the hundreds of employees who work in this company.

Solución

D-Link provided a complete end-to-end network infrastructure. Including POE and non-PoE switches, and all the transceivers necessary to expand the network, improving bandwidth and generating high-redundancy channels, this network handles box office, VoIP and internet data for employers and final users in theirs stores.

The data structure was implemented with DGS-3130 family layer 3 switches, due to their 10G positions and high performance. The links were made using DEM-431XT transceivers, mono-mode transceivers that support distances of up to 550mts on redundant channels and transfer channels of up to 20G.
